Work Smart Not Hard - A Mistaken Concept By Malaysian ?

The original saying is "Work Smarter.  Not Harder".  But when it landed in Malaysia it transformed into a lesser version of it " Work Smart . Not Hard" .

At first glance both seem to carry similar meanings to the Malaysian eyes. But in actual fact the meanings are of vast differences. The original saying connotes we must work hard. On the other hand, the deformed version adopted by many Malaysians, connotes.  we don't have to work hard at all. Suffice that we work smart. This in turn means we cheatingly do our work!!

Such distortion happens, perhaps because the eastern languages don't have comparative and superlative mechanism in their languages. They don't have word systems like big, bigger, biggest. Smart, smarter, smartest.

So get it right people. Don't just copy things without understanding them profoundly first.
