Portion of land belonging to another if used by others for sometime will give the others certain rights over the land. This right is called Easement Right. The scope is bigger than this. But for now, I am bringing attention to the issue pertaining to certain quarters setting-up gates on public roads that were used by people freely for over 30 years. This gated road thing seems to be more rampant these days. And this is not a healthy development. In the situation where the government claims the crime index has dropped crime should be less of a concern.
Are they not breaching any fundamental rights by limiting access to public roads ?
